Wow, what a day for LOMS athletics.

The boys had their first home game of the year against Laguna.  8th grade lost to Laguna, but played their heart out.

The 7th grade team didn't fare much better.  The team struggled early, but played a strong second half.

It was great to see a packed house, and special thank you to MBHS Dance Fusion for their awesome performance.

On the girls side of things, their practice was unique.   Cal Poly coaches led practice and taught the girls several skills.  Thank you to Marjoe D. for organizing this practice.

Girls tryouts start December 1.

Boys Basketball Dominates Santa Lucia

Basketball season is underway.

8th grade won 48 to 16.  Every boy on the team scored with Noah Tugade leading the scoring at 15 points, while Nick Murphy and Gavin Langford each contributed 8 point.  Patrick Sua'Fa led the team in rebounds.

7th grade easily handled Santa Lucia with a 54-3 win.  Carson "Utah" Leedom scored 15, Eli Graves led the team in assists, and Ian MacDonald led the team in rebounds.

Today we are home against Laguna at 3:30.  

LOMS Athletics Update November 14 #together

Lions Athletics is underway!  The boys have been practicing hard and eager to take to hardwood next week at Santa Lucia.
The first game is Tuesday November 18th at 4 pm.  For Google directions click here.

The bus will return at 7:00.

On Wednesday we play our rivals from Laguna at home.  Come watch and pack the gym.  Game time is at 3:30 and there is a special treat between the 7th and 8th grade game.  MBHS Dance Fusion will perform at the conclusion of the 7th grade game.  Also, we will be collecting donations for the Hammerlund family who lost their daughter in a tragic car accident last week.  Sabrina was connected to MBHS basketball, and it is my belief that LOMS and MBHS should support one another always.

Friday the boys will board the bus at 4:45 and head to Atascadero to play in their tournament.  Saturday's game times will be based on the results of Friday's games.

Friday's games are 8th grade at 6:00, 7th grade at 7:15.

Finally, John Wooden put together The Pyramid of Success, and he argues that in the pyramids foundation you will find industriousness, friendship, loyalty, cooperation, and enthusiasm.

This week the team's goal is to show those traits in everything they do.
